Company Description

Maverick Corporation is an Ohio small business headquartered in Blue Ash, Ohio. Founded in 1993 by Mr. Eric W. Collins and Dr. Robert A. Gray, Maverick has positioned itself as an agile company offering its customers cutting-edge materials technology, setting the industry standard for service. Maverick's company charter is to develop advanced materials and transition those technologies to the chemical, industrial, medical, missile, and space industries. Powered by innovation, Maverick's elite reputation for technology transfer has led to six major Air Force and NASA contracts over the past ten years.

Maverick currently employs 15 full-time and two part-time staff members in two Ohio locations. Of these employees, six people are engineers with two having Ph.D.'s. Maverick's core competency in the supply chain would be described as a "material" supplier offering customer support through processing knowledge; however, there is also a new direction towards "molded parts" manufacture. By integrating Maverick's current resin business with parts fabrication, Maverick is now offering long-term value to our customers by being the low-cost producer of high-temperature polyimide components. A partial list of Maverick's current customer base is as follows: the Boeing Company, Chromalloy, Cytec, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Fiber Innovations, GE Transportation, GKN Aerospace, Pratt and Whitney, Raytheon and YLA.

Maverick Corporation's multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art 12,500 sq. ft. facility located in Blue Ash, Ohio (figure 1) is equipped to provide precision testing and cost effective production in lot quantities from 10 pounds to more than 10,000 pounds of resin. Maverick has all of the laboratory equipment and instrumentation necessary to conduct resin synthesis and produce molded shapes. The Maverick Molding facility in Stow, Ohio is equipped to process and machine polyimide components. This facility is ISO 9000/2001/AS9100 approved.
