PMR-II-50
NASA-Glenn Developed Polyimide
PMR-II-50 is a high temperature polyimide capable of surviving long-term exposure to temperatures up to 650ºF (343ºC). PMR-II-50 composites can be fabricated from prepreg or by solvent-assisted resin transfer molding (saRTM).
Properties
- Glass Transition Temperature:
675-700ºF (357 - 371ºC)
- Thermal Oxidative Stability:
1.0 - 2.0% weight loss at 700 °F (371°C), 100 hours in air
- Resin Solids Content:
Can be formulated up to 75% wt. solids
- Solution Density:
1.1 - 1.3 gm/cc
- Solution Viscosity @ 55% solids:
1000 - 1500 cps at RT, Spindle #3, 10 RPM
